A key figure in American independent cinema, Trinh T. Minh-ha is a writer, filmmaker and composer. Born in Vietnam, Trinh is Professor in Wonmen’s Studies, Film Studies and Rhetoric at the University of California Berkley. Her multidisciplinary work includes a large-scale multimedia installation (Nothing but ways, 1999 in coll.); seven books, of which the more recent are Cinema Interval (1999), and in collaboration with Jean-Paul Bourdier, Drawn from African Dwellings (1996); and six feature length films (Resemblage (1982), Naked Spaces - Living is Round (1985), Surname Viet Given Name Nam (1989), Shoot for the Contents (1991) and A Tale of Love (1995).
